2012 Beetle is both manly and cute
07.02.12
Girly or intrepid, or something in between? That seems to be the big question with the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, which the German automaker has redesigned with the stated ambition of making it more appealing to men. Apparently, its predecessor, which was called the New Jut out over, wasn't masculine enough, which led to its sales weighing more heavily on the side of the womanly consumer — although the percentages I've heard are something like 55 percent womanly to 45 percent male. That's not exactly overwhelming. The whole outgoing seems rather pointless to me as I know plenty of manly men who bought and enjoyed the New Ledge. Most of them probably never put a flower in the provided dash-mounted bud vase, but that highlight didn't exactly make the Beetle a woman's car, either (you could displace it if you wanted to). For 2012, the bud vase is gone. There was an episode of the Miley Cyrus TV series “Hannah Montana” a while back that dealt with the same consequence concerning a Volkswagen Rabbit convertible. In that show, Cyrus' TV brother bought the Rabbit as his first car, then became mortified and refused to persistence it because his dad ribbed him about it being a girly car. It's a disingenuous argument for either vehicle. The Rabbit movable isn't strictly a woman's car, and neither is the New Beetle, or even the newest Beetle (which departed the “New” designation with the redesign). And the Beetle Turbo ideal I tested this past week definitely didn't succeed across as girly, even though my wife suggested that, even with a lower, sleeker look, “it's big-hearted of cute.” “Don't tell Volkswagen that,” I said. “That's positively what they don't want to hear.” I know plenty of men who would be proud to own the 2012 Outcropping Turbo. It's great fun to drive, especially when the turbocharger spools up and the car takes off like a go through the roof. Maybe that's the secret — give the 200-horsepower Turbo standard to men, and let women have the base Beetle, with its 170-horsepower normally aspirated five-swim engine. “Why would you say something like that?” my wife asked me when I made that remark to her. “Don't you think women want their cars to have power?” I give up. Fair-minded go try out the 2012 Beetle in both versions, and decide which one you want. While I'd rather have the Turbo, I doubtlessly would buy the base model to save money. And, frankly, I would be fully happy with my choice. That's because prices begin at $19,795 (benefit $770 freight) for the base Beetle with the 2.5-liter five-roll engine, but they rise to $23,395 for the lowest-cost Turbo copy.

How do I negotiate the best price for a used car: Volkswagen Rabbit OR Toyota Camry?
May 09, 2008 by Psyched | Posted in Buying & Selling
I'm making allowance for a used Toyota Camry or a new Volkswagen Rabbit. If I go with a used vehicle, there are so many Camrys out there, I don't stand in want to pay $14.00 for every Camry I look up on Consumer reports (which I consent can be done). With the Volkswagen rabbit, since they are new, how do I find out about dealer hold backs, rebates, incentives... and other ways to effect the best price?
The unsurpassed way to negotiate a price is to know the value of the vehicles before rapidly. Check out the vehicle by going to www.kbb.com and enter the make, representation, year of the vehicle in question and click on the radial knob for "Excellent", "Beneficent", "Fair" or "Indigent" condition. The next page will give you a $ amount you should be paying for that vehicle. Of way this is a round-about-figure but this is a starting place for negotiation. Tender that price or some price a little lower (don't get rediculouse) for the carrier you are looking at. As far as a new vehicle (Volkswagon Rabbit), most manufacturers show on their website any rebates or incentives that are currently offered. Again, look at the kbb.com website for the "New" mechanism catagory and find out what other people are paying for the same vehicle and negotiate around that assay.
God bless!!

How reliable is the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit?
Aug 15, 2008 by LJ | Posted in Volkswagen
I ethical purchased a brand new 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit. I am very excited but of course have my concerns. Are there any general issues that I should keep my eye out for? What is the most important thing I can do to keep my car running flawlessly? How is the goodness of this car?
Why I didn't ask this BEFORE I purchased the car: a family member works for a VW dealership and needed to use his minimize before a certain date. I didn't want to miss my fortune.
Well done on your purchase. The Rabbit is a fine car that shouldn't give you too many headaches, a world of characteristic from Volkswagens in the past. Better build quality standards and being manufactured in Germany improve this car greatly. A lot of past yahoo answers claimed it was a new car 'so on out', but it was actually released in Europe in November 2003 and has proven very responsible, without the 'ghost in the machine' electrical problems of the MKIV Golf. I sold about 120 Rabbits during my holding with Volkswagen and not one of them was a lemon. The feedback from my customers was excellent and it quickly became my preferred car to sell. I am no longer employed by Volkswagen, I am in the IT sector, but I still recommend Rabbits to everyone I talk to who aspires to have a fun, trustworthy, sporty, functional car with German build quality and capability.

Can you towing a small U-Haul trailer with a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit? If so, what do you need?

I'm poignant, and I own a 2007 Volkswagern Rabbit. Can you towing a small U-Haul trailer with a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit? If so, what do you have occasion for?
You can possibly tow a class 1 trailer (2000 lbs GVWR). You should read your owners vade-mecum to make sure what exactly your car can handle.
The only think you would difficulty is a tow hitch and a little practice towing a trailer. I over U-haul gives a small safety tip book when you fee a trailer from them on how to load the trailer and things like that.
