2011 Toyota Highlander: A perfect family fun SUV

Priority number one was a safe, comfortable long separate cruiser. Except for the elevated ride height we could have been driving a Toyota Avalon. The bungalow ambiance, spaciousness, and material quality made the trip a preference. We had room to spare for all our cargo. The seven-passenger wherewithal made the Highlander a frequent choice for hauling family and friends around Handgun Beach.

We enjoyed spectacular summer-like seedy for most of the trip (including the outdoor ceremony), but the last night and passing day/return trip were in semi-hurricane conditions. That was when we at bottom appreciated the sophisticated all-wheel-drive, road-holding gallantry of the Highlander.
