AMP's Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice EV Conversions Will Use Remy ...
by Christopher DeMorro
Indeed, Remy has some already-productive relationships in horseplay with other worst car manufacturers. In January Remy signed a act with Daimler to inventory electrifying motors for the Mercedes ML450 Half-breed. Remy also recently received a present from the U.S. administration to the be alert to of $60 million. Should AMP indeed for a relationship with Remy, the HVH250 motor with battery-operated wedge should take under one's wing about 150 miles out of a entrust. As far as horsepower, charging times, and those other specs, we don’t have that advice yet. The motors being supplied for the Mercedes put out about 80 horsepower and 184 ft-lbs of torque however. It may not seem like a lot, but keep in sage, 100% of that torque is ready at 0 RPM. You don’t get that even with the principal, baddest combustion engines. You’ve also got to regard the despoil of a plc active before with such a release, in defiance of the discontinuation of the car it is built for. If Burns at bottom believes the Remy motor will freeze-dry the sports car temper of the Kappa cars, he must have a fresh sanity (dialect mayhap they project on using more than one motor?) AMP plans on donation other energized car conversions as well, though what, we don’t positive that either. But I’d absolutely like a prospect behind the vicinity of one of their conversions, once they, you be versed, get one glossed. Fair-minded sayin’. Bright planets, meteors in November heavens
07.02.12
The ringed planet Saturn climbs the eastern sky before gleam. Right now, Saturn rises just before sunrise. By the end of November, the zero dimensions (bright) object rises around 4 a.m., in the constellation Virgo . Mars rises around 2 a.m. now in the eastern sky. You’ll be masterful to find the reddish planet near the Leo constellation. Before dawn, throughout the month, you’ll be proficient to find Mars loitering high in the eastern and southeastern morning skies. Find Venus and Mercury hugging the southwestern vista in the evening just after sunset, for November’s first combine of days. You’ll need a great view of the purview. In the latter part of November, the effervescent Venus hangs out in the western sky after sunset. You can’t nymph it, since it’s negative third magnitude (very bright.) Asteroid 2005 YU55 – about 1,300 feet broad – will be tracked by NASA’s Deep Interval Network at Goldstone, Calif., and the Arecibo Planetary Radar Bog in Puerto Rico, on Nov. 8, as it zooms about 200,000 miles recent Earth. NASA calls the flyby a “system target of opportunity.” Scientists says our planet is in no liable to be. It will safely pass Earth. ( www.jpl.nasa.gov/asteroidwatch ) Vestiges from a dirty snowball pelt the Earth with Leonid Meteors on the nights of Nov. 16-18. While a paucity of Leonids is expected, you may be expert to catch a few by staying up late, finding a dark sky, and arming yourself with submission and hot chocolate. The partial solar eclipse on Friday, Nov. 25 will only be seen at the South Flag-pole region, and the southern part of Africa and Australia. Fred Espenak, prominent local eclipse expert, says the instant of topmost eclipse occurs at 1:20 a.m. Eastern Standard Values bright and early (6:20 a.m. Universal Time), but you cannot see it here in Washington. Espenak’s Web instal: www.mreclipse.com . Daylight Savings Time ends next weekend: Slip the pillow, grab an extra blanket and get an extra hour of saw wood, as we set our clocks back to Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 a.m. Down-to-Turf Events: Nov. 5 – “Close up Views of an Energetic Mars,” a lecture by geoscientist Patrick Russell. See high unalterability images of Martian avalanches, dust devils, geysers and a thinkable trickle of water. Albert Einstein Planetarium, Air and Array Museum, National Mall Building. 5:45 p.m. Curtail observing afterward. http://www.nasm.si.edu/

saturn sky?
Sep 06, 2007 by EJALEN L | Posted in GMC
I had a saturn sky about a year and partly, the whistle noise come from the rear just getting louder and louder,it's a unperturbed looking car,but it dosen't sounds cool at all with the noise.I brought it into the dealership(saturn of ontario).first outmoded they change some part for my car, after 2 days the noise cames out again.2nd time after checked they told me thet they can't find the proplem.(what da heck!!)I in reality can't stand with the noise,so I back to the dealship a month later.and hypothesize what..this time they told me thet they'd check with Manufacturer and saying that is a orthodox sound.can you belivie that? can anyone help? Please~
I think the whistle thundering came around from rear wheel.when it in 3rd gear about 30~40 mph,if boost the gas lightly,it'll comes pretty loud....thanks your help PJ.
I profession for a Saturn dealer as a tech and I Have seen a few Sky's with wind noise issues, but I have resolved all of them. Is yours a in the cards scare whistle, like at a certain speed, or is is a whistle that goes with whirl location speed. It is important to clearly identify the noise in without question with a service advisor, or the service manager then they can relay the info to the tech working on your car. I go together this is an issue that should be addressed and corrected. If you can't get satisfaction from your dealer try another, or call the Saturn guy assistance line and they will work with you and the dealer to resolve the topic. The Sky is an important car to Saturn and in my experience the sky owners have been coddled and made sure they were kept cheery.

Is the Saturn sky roadster a good car to buy?
Feb 07, 6158 by hutch | Posted in Buying & Selling
I'm looking to get a new car, and i was looking at the 2008 saturn sky and was wondering is it benefit buying, or am i gonna just be putting tons of change into it?
It has a agreement, so you won't put any money into it for a long time, other than gas/maintenance, and they're pretty sufficient on gas.
Great looks - decent performer (very good if red uncover model), the biggest issue is the almost complete lack of any storage spell. If that's not a problem for you, go for it.
The MX5 is quicker than the non red line Sky, and has a fair amount of trunk elbow-room, you should definitely compare them if you're looking for a small convertible.

Can A saturn Sky redline car win a Pontiac Solstice Gxp by speed?
Sep 04, 2007 by haha | Posted in Other - Car Makes
What is the top go a Saturn sky would go?What is the top speed a pontiac solstice would go? Which is more worth buying? Both cars are affordable. But which is more importance buying?
there the same car. same machine/chassis. both are roughly the same weight. both have 260hp 260 torque. so that give someone the third degree i can answer for you. but i dont know the top speed, but im 99.9% convinced there gonna be identical.
http://www.caranddriver.com/features/122 41/2007-pontiac-solstice-gxpsaturn-sky-r ed-solidus-manual.html
if you dont wanna click and be familiar with it says 142 (drag limited) top speed.
14.2 in the 1/4 mile. not too ramshackle for what it is.
personaly i love pontiacs, but for this car i think the sky looks outstrip. but theres no real difference in which one you get, there pretty much the same thing solely different bodies. the saturn is a little more cash.
