Likes:
- Convertible supplication
- Four-chair utility
- Shapely upland abide
Dislikes:
- High-priced
- That distinguishing splendour won’t appeal to everyone
- Quirky bits, such as the ignition engagement
- Slower than the ordinary Euro convertible
The 2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible is newly restyled and reengineered, and it has four-residence condition along with a option of turbocharged engines.
The 2.0T models possess c visit sample with a turbocharged four-spool machine with 210 horsepower and 221 beat-feet of torque. A six-fleetness instructions is the gauge gearbox, while a five-run unavoidable is an privilege. The 2.0T also sports 16-inch wheels and pattern weary power monitors.
The Aero paragon gets its motivation from a turbo 2.8-liter V-6 with 255 horsepower and 258 beat-feet of torque. It comes with a six-forward directions gauge; a six-go like greased lightning self-governing is an election. Saab promises 0-60 mph times of less than seven seconds. Saab offers a 280-horsepower manifestation of this machine, as well as all-spin operate, in the 9-3 wagon and sedan, but not in the convertible.
A power driver swear in is guideline on the 2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible, along with a Bose audio system with XM Aide Transmit and OnStar. Bi-xenon cornering headlamps will be an recourse in the Opinion States. An iPod connectivity kit is on tap, but Bluetooth isn't offered at all.
We like the Saab convertible for what it is, but while it's a big attuned to along for the mark, it's honourable not the same proposition as the four-ass convertibles from Audi and BMW, which we like a picayune more intelligent. It's neither as skilful as the connect-turbo BMW 335i nor as hypocritical as the Audi, and both of those convertibles present oneself much sharper handling and a more enclosed touch.
The Saab convertible is, however, a great-looking, fun-to-outing, and purely formidable sun contraption with a bit more erect-rear end legroom than the contest, not to introduce more foot-locker margin.
The Bottom Lead:
The 2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible is very likely the choicest Saab convertible ever, but there's not much to woo somewhere else the Audi/Benz/BMW bunch.
Other Choices:
If you like the 2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible, also ruminate on:
- Volvo C70
- Audi A4 Cabriolet
- BMW 3-Series Convertible
- Volkswagen Eos
Prevail upon why
The compute of four-sit convertibles from Europe has grown--and so have the assay tags and persuasiveness of the cars. Volvo's C70 has a folding hardtop and elbow-room for four, along with turbocharged power and a splendid Dynaudio stereo. The Audi A4 Cabriolet is in its fixed year of development, but still looks fascinating and handles well. The BMW 3-Series Convertible sports a folding hardtop, a engaged inner, and a inundate quotation tag. Volkswagen's Eos comes in four- and six-spool versions, with the...

Can anyone help explain a knocking/banging noise coming from my saab 9-3 convertible?
Nov 15, 2006 by chrisbroadbent2002 | Posted in Safety
There is a knocking/banging/cluncking right-minded coming from the middle-back of my Saab 9-3 convertible. It happens when you apply the brakes at low go like a bat out of hell and then accelerate away (such as coming up to a speed bump, in See trade, coming up to a roundabout etc) or when you pump the brakes at low speed. It doesn't come to pass at higher speeds. It sounds likes something rolling/ knocking into something else and falling back again. I have recently had the ass brakes and discs changed, the suspension re-torqued and the emission rubbers changed. It's still there! You can hear it when you are outside the car also. There is no drop in the gig of the car at all. I am convinced that it is coming from inside the body of the car, underneath the end seat. I can assure you all that it has nothing to do with someone such as my mother in law being trapped in my boot!! Would worth any ideas, as this is getting annoying.
Most odds-on a loose muffler or a broken hanger on your exhaust. Or the tailpipe is hitting the axle because you have a bad numb or strut

'99 Saab 9-3 convertible top will not go all the way back up?
Jan 30, 2008 by Rlbrnch | Posted in Saab
My Saab 9-3 convertible top will not root go up. Everything works except the rear window will not go back down, completing the last step. I refilled the hydraulic mobile already. When this happens my truck is also unable to be opened electronically, not steady why. Every other part of the convertible goes back and forth.
I just turned the headlights on and the convertible works fairly now. Why??
The headlight element is a coincidence. On the top, there are 5 bows that go across the frame.first one at the windshield and the fifth one at the bottom of the back window. On the drivers side behind the mercifulness glass is the 5th bow microswitch. It is an open/close switch that the system uses to regulate where in the cycle the 5th bow is.This switch is a common problem. There are a few switches for several things on the top,but the 5th bow switch is the most common problem.
another problem is the tonneau force. Its in the trunk on the right side under the top stowage bag. There is a universal joint there that goes bad too.
Could be either one.chattels luck

What year did the Saab 9-3 convertible start having auxiliary audio inputs?
Jul 31, 951 by dawhitfield | Posted in Saab
I don't literally know that they ever started, but I have a rental car at the moment and it has one, so I figure the 9-3s to all intents do. I currently have a 2000 9-3 convertible. I'm thinking maybe in a year and a partially or so (especially if I do not go to the Wold Cup) I might be ready for an upgrade. Time to start extenuating for it but I need to know what year to save for!
please give a citation. You won't get win out over answer without a citation.
I have a 2006 9-3 Aero convertible - it has the mill aux input in the center console -- standard paraphernalia. I've used it and it works like a champ.
Not sure if it was paradigm in earlier years, but as of 2006 it was. So -- there's a starting tip for you.
Hope that helps !!!
