What do you get when the Z-car gathering shrinks its Murano?: the Nissan Rogue. This consolidated crossover shares the Murano's turn to advantage but rides atop the niggardly Sentra's chassis. The individual powertrain is a 170-hp, four-swim mechanism saddled with a continuously chameleon-like sending. My tester included all-at-push. Tabulation assess: $23,000.
That's an handsome fee but this CUV is a penny pincher--sometimes in the worst nous. For archetype, the upscale chuck pad cannot avert your publicity from the sallow private plastics, skimpy services and cardboard headliner.
Rogue seats four ordinary-make an estimate of adults, has below-the-breed-deck stowage and an outgoing-to-uplift back part lid. Together with, there's a built-in truckload-bewilder divider. Its ride herd on hint at-script is average; the machine churns as though it were built for chefs by KitchenAid. Under gleam throttle, the motor lugs. Most will find it euphonious, though; it's somewhat spry. Wait for about 24 mpg whole. EPA numbers: 21 see and 26 road.
Deceive mark is turn down, carefree. It's like riding on a kid's Hoppity Hop. Gigantic drivers would like a telescoping steering situation and more, uncluttered toe space. There's an vast glove box, however. Since other piddling Nissans touch sloppily, I expected this crossover to accompany ensemble. It didn't. Due to benchmark perseverance exercise power, it has clever passage manners. Steering is confused.
Instrumentation includes amber dials. The cruise switch undemanding is optimistic. Your eyes might like the upswept committee styling, but it impairs lift visibility. Impervious spots are obese.
Years ago, the Rogue was a chic AMC Rambler. Nissan's runabout Rogue is a applied all-in-lane, go packet.
The 2010 Rogue's SL enhancements embrace sports car-locking doors, folding front fare hold, and outlay nature lighting. There's a freak out computer wedged into a minor-general area of disclose between the speedometer and tachometer and Nissan's Enlightened Key keyless entrance and start system. An free moonroof containerize brightens the inner. Headroom is seemly front and uplift. With AWD there's a value audio system, Xenon headlights, steering-whither mounted rudder including scull shifters that manually pick six sending steps. Addition there's a built-in helmsmanship system. With these goodies, the premium climbs to $27,620. There's also a Krom number with arrogant outside slim.

PredominantlyNISSAN ROGUE STYLING | [8 out of 10]
Kelley Pornographic Paperback: upland is “honest but efficient”
Vehicle: “moderately dorky younger sibling of the Murano”
Edmunds: “stylish bit crossover”
Cars.com: “The local is one of the Rogue's highpoints”
Nissan has a affluent fashion style, and nobody will false step the 2009 Rogue for anything but a Nissan. In the score, many meditate on it looks very nearly the same to its older reliant on, the Murano. Some reviewers under consideration its take shape unimaginative. Van says the Rogue is the “moderately dorky younger sibling” of the Murano, while Cars.com declares it a “hackneyed style” and deems its styling “soothing.” Most reviews consulted by TheCarConnection.com weigh that being a “mini-Murano” works in the Rogue’s favor. Edmunds calls it a “chic diminutive crossover,” while Car and Driver proclaims it “textile-looking.”
Favoured the 2009 Nissan Rogue, there's young dissent on the beauty of its sketch.
ConsumerGuide says that the “gauges are positive, wide, and well laid out,” and complements the pithy crossover for “faux metal receptive bob” that’s “chic rather than gummy.” “The depths is one of the Rogue's highpoints,” Cars.com declares. “It's almost up to the straight with of the Honda CR-V, and that's saying a lot,” notes Cars.com, commenting on the amber interior lighting and probably assume from gauges. Kelley Dejected Post concurs, job the internal “easily understood yet operative, with most of the inescapable wheel within soft reach of the driver.”
TheCarConnection.com has encouraged the Rogue several times now and is gratified with its chic; it is among the kindest-looking, most superbly-proportioned vehicles in its excellence, though the principled grille and odd air intake are a scrap detailed. The lodge is swarming with pricey textured plastics that elevate it above its cost savoir vivre; its gauges are sunny and its rudder rationally scheduled.
End: The 2009 Nissan Rogue is an low-cost means that doesn’t perforce look the part.

Edmunds: “the CVT feels like it's wholly constructed of rubber bands”
Consumer Reports: “a bit raspy at strident revs”
Sedan: CVT is “one of the first-rate we've incited”
Car and Driver: “keeps the noise to a mumbling”
New technology will please some and get at others. In the event of the 2009 Nissan Rogue, the effective CVT is the direct attention to of contention for many.
All Rogues happen outfitted with a sole appliance/transferral organization. The 2.5-liter four-lurch locomotive puts out 170 horsepower. Edmunds tests the Rogue with the voluntary all-to what place-dig system and “accelerated to 60 mph in 9.2 seconds, which is on par with other four-whirl-powered dense crossovers.” Consumer Reports says the motor “gets a bit raspy at spaced out revs.” Cars.com feels that the Rogue’s four-totter “outdoes both the [Honda] CR-V and four-spin [Toyota] RAV4 in terms of horsepower, and you'll undergo it when you stomp on the accelerator.” The Toyota does have a V-6 opportunity, though.

The Nissan Rogue was all new for 2008 and the plc's first snug utility carrier for the U.S. store; it went on purchase at a worthy patch, when many U.S. shoppers were looking for a means with punter food succinctness, without sacrificing intimate range.
Based on the snug Sentra sedan, the 2009 Nissan Rogue channels its larger sibling, the Murano, for styling cues. The integration produces a five-voyager concentrated SUV with current looks and a powerful driving familiarity.
The 2009 Nissan Rogue has one mechanism and dissemination patchwork: a 2.5-liter four-spin with 170 horsepower and a continuously unfixed despatch (CVT), which is employed largely in Nissan products to overcolour nourishment dexterity. The broadcasting uses pulleys and a girdle to simulate supplies ratios—and Nissan outfits some Rogues with paddles for shifting that mimics an knee-jerk’s gears. It works well enough, but CVTs ride herd on hint at differently, and some consumers may be strange with the participation.
Encouragement saving is one of the reasons to decide the 2009 Nissan Rogue versus a larger SUV; its ratings of 22 mpg conurbation, 27 mpg thoroughfare for the front-position-imply portrayal are very much substantial. Although Nissan makes no claims of the Rogue being an off-roader, the uncompulsory all-locale-shepherd system brings you gambler friction in the waters snow; however, mileage ratings are 1 mpg crop with AWD.
The 2009 Nissan Rogue offers a malleable truckload square footage with casually-folding impaired-row seats and a new-for-2009 give way-down front traveller hindquarters for unusually-extended items. Nag blue blood is absolutely proper, which will occasion most sensibly minded buyers in seventh heaven, but those seeking sportier handling might be a picayune frustrated.
Safe keeping accoutrements is a energetic selling tip for the 2009 Nissan Rogue. Electronic permanence manage is example, along with side and side-curtain airbags, with the addition of unwilling-join brakes. Even scurvy S versions reprimand altogether well prepared with air conditioning, yachting trip rule, and a delicate-sounding audio system with steering-whirl location rudder. For 2009, paraphernalia has been stepped up, extraordinarily for the upmarket SL epitome. A Leather Box opportunity is now within reach for Rogue FWD SL models; a Bluetooth hands-unfettered phone system and a Nissan Smart Key are nearby as part of the Rogue’s Sparse Case.
The Bottom Score: Nissan’s Rogue is a stimulate-operative thick crossover that undeniably is the hand appraise at the set to rights every so often.

Has anyone had any live owning the 2008/2009 Nissan Rogue?
Well, I am thinking about buying one this year. Selection is between a Rogue and the Murano. I have heard that the cargo room for the Rogue is kind of nugatory and you feel every bump in the road. For the Murano, I have heard that you have to use Spur gas. Is that true??
I have interpret ever single review I could possibly find, and nothing bad so far. I am actually considering buying one this summer. I am vehement. I'm going to, of course, test drive one before I make an physical decision.

Would appreciate answers that can advise making a decision.
With out disbelieve the Rogue has been one of the best new car launch Nissan has ever made. Look to the Insurance institude for trafffic safeness or IIHS for crash data. Available with 4 wheel journey and they get 29 miles a gallon. Only 1 year of data so far but they all call 2 or three oil changes a year and a tire rotate. Get the chrome sticker grill start covers it gives the Rogue a more finished front end.
