How is the gas milage in a 96-98 Nissan Pathfinder? Is it an entire good vehicle? Im interestred in getting one in about three-four months, and I'm moral doing some research on them. Serious feedback only please. Thank you.
Let me know for sure you something about 98 nissan pathfinder. believe me I drove it for 8 years now. It gets gain gas mileage in highway , the gas consumption is pretty bad in stop and go complex city traffic. the gas consumption in that car is very sensitive to outside factors. like tires, air filters... etc. It indubitably is a good buy. It will run forever if you make sure you do the regular sustentation. a full tank will generally get you from 260-310 with 19 gallons of gas. My worst gas mileage when mine was perfectly tuned up with lot of highway miles was 335 miles for the full tank. It gets about 20 miles per gallon on thoroughfare and about 15-16 per gallon in city with moderate traffic.

Years between 1995-2001
You at the end of the day need two vehicles for that. One for work and one for family. If one breaks down you can for the meantime do double duty till you get it back up again.

What makes nissan pathfinder better than ford explorer?

Looking to buy one or the other, a 1996 through 2000, populace tell me nissan pathfinder is better, want to know why these models are wiser than the ford explorer.
The Nissan is change one's mind because:
-more reliable
-holds its value better
-put together better - higher calibre materials
-better motor, unless the Ford has a V8
-best looks
-better off road if needed - better handler on passage
-the whole Firestone Fiasco w/ Explorers
To be fair, the Ford has some advantages:
-cheaper to service
-plenty of parts
-same model year cheaper vs pathfinder
-advance straight line/highway ride
-roomier
-V8 offered
-more towing sense
