mazda cx-7 turns the AWD off automatically when not needed, does that mean the mpg becomes higher?
Jun 04, 2009 by MaybeThisWay | Posted in Mazda
im conclusion of buying a mazda cx-7 but the its BIG con is the low mpg. AWD automatically turns off when not needed, does that hostile the mpg becomes higher? pls help.
the AWD stays on
and if you get an '08 or newer, it does not be short of premium fuel.
the guy above me is wrong about that.
i own an '08 and it is a great car.
correct. in the owners manual of a 2008 mazda CX-7, it recommends freebie fuel but it is NOT necessary. mine has regular gas in it right now and it runs faultlessly.

2008 Mazda CX-7 squeaks on rough bumpy roads - passenger side dash?

2008 Mazda CX-7 squeaks on broken bumpy roads - passenger side dash.
Anyone find a solution for this? It's violent pitch squeaks, when going over certain rough bumps.
Like rats are living in there squeaking away.
Is this just chassis twisting and nothing can be done?
It may be the denial is not properly lubricated on that side of the vehicle or a bad shock.

Does the Mazda CX-7 HAVE to use premium fuel, or is it just recommended?
Feb 07, 2009 by Wow C | Posted in Mazda
Demand to buy this car, but afraid of the premium fuel costs. My next door neighbor has a Lincoln Municipality Car executive. The owners manual for him said he needs to use in short supply, he doesn't, and it lasted 9 years so far, a lot for a Lincoln! Another friend of mine has a Volkswagen Projection cabriolet which also requires premium, but they don't fill it up.
If it does require value, is there a problem with me putting regular in the car? What is it?
Thanks.
the CX-7 uses Mazda's ordain injected turbo four 2.3. Yes it recommended for premium and yes you will see a power and adroitness increase by using premium fuel. The jump in MPG with come-on helps soften the blow of costly premium incite.
But the direct injected engine adapts immediately to any force out octane you put in the tank.
So use regular when you want to and premium when you have a yen for a boost in power.
