I own a rat on, and I'll tell you the same thing I have told my customers for years. Tension is what kills transmissions. If you are going to tow that much weight behind your Lincoln, then you need to initiate an external transmission cooler to keep it cool enough. Driving in overdrive won't woebegone the transmission, but if you encounter some steep grades, then you will want to shift to the trim drive gear, and keep an eye on the temperature Gage. On level soil the transmission will actually run cooler in overdrive, but its not made to handle the vehemence generated on inclines. Your engine, transmission, and some vehicles have an oil cooler, all using the radiator for a zealousness exchanger to keep them cool, so if the engine gets hot, then the transmission is far too hot, and ruin will take place. Have a cooler that's about an 8" x 10" mounted in front of the AC condenser, to where it can get masses of cool air, and you should have no problems as long as you don't stand on the gas every time you take off. Impartial use common sense, and you should be just fine.

Purchased a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT wanted to put a Works OEM Navigation system in it have been looking on Ebay for ones but lincoln dealership says you cant some population say you can?.. Need some help
The negotiations is correct. It's not even close. New dashboard, new wiring, new sensors. Unprejudiced buy a nice Garmin or Tom Tom. I would always rather have a factory unit myself, but if it's not done at the factory, leave behind it. Think about it. If the dealer could make a buck off o you, believe me, he would!
