Other vehicles twisted in the recall are the 2004 Toyota Avalon and 2006 Highlander Composite and the 2004-'05 Lexus ES 330 and RX 330. The National Highway Traffic Cover Administration has not yet posted any information about this latest Toyota about on its Web site. "There is a possibility that the outer ring of the crankshaft sheave may become misaligned with the inner ring, causing noise and/or clarification of the discharge warning light," said Toyota in a expression. "If this condition is not corrected, the belt for the power steering emphasize may become detached from the pulley and the driver may notice a sudden inflate in steering effort." Toyota said there are no reports of accidents or injuries affiliated to the defect. The recall does not include Toyota vehicles with four-spool engines. The recall is expected to begin in January. I reverence the Lexus RX's feautures and it seems perfect for my needs,
It looks really proficient too, and although I need a 4wd SUV I would like
to do my part to help the enviorment and I love the Lexus RX so much.
However, I have heard that some say it is a jail-bait's car. The thing
is I am a ski commuter, and I frequently find myself doing 4-8 hour
drives and I esteem the luxuriousness of the Lexus. I would prefer
not to be presumed gay, however. Would you consider the Lexus to be
a Chick car, magnet, or a mens car. Thanks.
I don't cogitate on it is chick car but it not a man's man car by any stretch. It is actually unisex, nicely express, luxurious not very sporty. I happen to like the RX also. It is more like a one's nearest station wagon on stilts kind of car. Great if your a married Queen's with kids. Also great if you would not be caught dead in a van. It is obviously an SUV but if you stand in want a more manly ride go for one of the larger lexus/toyota suv models or the Toyota FJ or a junk. Otherwise I don't think its on the list of gay men's cars. The VWgetta, civic and toyota solara are in all likelihood still on it i think.
PS. I happen to drive a GS it is big and luxurious and not real smart but it is a man car because it is my car.

I'm looking to hold a 200 lexus RX and I'm wondering what the average life span is on them? Is 160,000 miles on a 2000 too much? How much longer can I imagine that car to run? Thanks!!
Yourself that's alot of miles to be gettting into. I have a friend that has one with 229 on it and it's still active strong. Any car's reliability depends on when and how it was taken care of. If it was one proprietress and they religiously maintained it i'd probably buy it. If your not sure you can always shell out $100 and take it to a townsperson mechanic and have him look it over. It's better to invest $100 to get a professionals par then to waste another $3K on a car with 160K. Good luck!
