Hi all!
I currently survive in the US and I own a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I plan to move to the Philippines in a year or two and would love to bring it with me. However, from my digging, I've found that shipping and 100% tariffs would make this impossible. :(
So, how much bucks (in PhP or US$) would it take to buy a new one in the Philippines? Or, could you suggest a good substitute 4X4?

you might get an theory from this site. it has secondhand ones for sale. one fair thing is that gas is cheap .a negative is that genuine parts are strict to come by. the value of the doller against the peso has practically halved in recent years.............hope it comes back up by the age u travel...................mostly people in the phillipines drive understudy hand japanese imports..........even similar models to the jeep 4x4 . there isa extensive supply of parts. probably ur best option would be to peddle ur jeep and condider buyinga toyota or mitsubishi when u arrive. they actually do last.

What kind of experiences have you had with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?

I am in the light of buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I have a job that frequently takes me to muddy construction sites, orts roads, and live in upstate NY so deal with sometimes interesting winters. I also hankering a convertible. Maybe a Jeep is the best of both worlds. I have generally stayed in a different place from American car makers becuase of their less then steller build quailty. But after 5 years with a VW Jetta that has vomit up a lot of time at the shop, I don't want to deal with something that is going to be consistantly having weak-minded annoying things go wrong with it. Something else that is appealing to me about the Wranglers is the accomplishment that their resale value seems to stay pretty good compared to other cars of the same collector's.
So, after all of that, the simple question remains, what have been your experiences with the Wrangler Unlimited: what has gone miscarry, what has gone right, recalls, dealer experience, etc.

True vehicles. They are not the fastest vehicles, nor the most fuel efficient. But man, they are fun to tour. They love sand and snow. There are tons of aftermarket companies that flog betray accessories to make it more specific to your needs. The Unlimited is nice for the information that you can hold more cargo and tow more than the shorter wheelbase. Now, in a few more months, Jeep will bring out the redesigned Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. There will even be a four door Wrangler. You may want to wait to either buy the 2007 prototype or get a great deal on the 2006. Good luck. Here is the report on the four door model.:

How can I carry a bike with my jeep wrangler unlimited?

I have a label new jeep wrangler unlimited and I am looking to carry a mountain bike and a road motorcycle on the back. I do not have a trailor hitch and read in the manual on page 384 that I can not put more than 50lbs on the scrawny tire carrier including the weight of the tire. I found motorcycle carriers that mount to that part how do they carry bikes and a tire and hinder under that weight limit?
Lay out about $100 on an aftermarket trailer hitch, then add a bike hauler.
