Aug. 23

» Noon-4 p.m. -- Registration king's ransom pickup at the Commander Hotel.

» 5-9 p.m. -- Meet and greet/suffered party at Seacrets.

Aug. 24

» 7 a.m. -- Beach Crawl staging at Cheerful Roger Amusement Park (limited to the 100 pre-registered Jeeps)

» 8 a.m. -- Seashore Crawl begins and can be viewed from any location along the Boardwalk. Turn a deaf ear to your radio to 98.1 (Ocean 98) during the event for a red-hot broadcast.

» 11 a.m. -- Scavenger hunt staging and starting piece of advice at the OC Park & Ride in West Ocean City.

Aug. 25

» 9 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Show and Sparkle at Barrett's Jeep. Trophies will be presented at 12:30 p.m.

» 1:30-6 p.m. -- Hurdle course at the Pocomoke Fairgrounds hosted by the Eastern Shore Jeep Intimacy.

Aug. 26

» 10 a.m. -- First convoy leaves from the Wal-Mart parking lot for the 2012 ESJA Land Stroll.

» 2 p.m. -- Second convoy leaves from the Wal-Mart parking lot for the 2012 ESJA Soil Tour.

OCEAN CITY -- Jeep Week is back in Gobs City for a third-go round, but really, it feels like the first ease.

In 2010, event organizer Larry Sackadorf had about three weeks to promenade around the inaugural Jeep Week, which still saw dozens of participants. Last year, evacuations from Storm Irene ended the cavalcade before it had even started.

"We're probably flourishing to do this year what we wanted to do last year, plus a little bit, then we'll see how it grows in years to arrive," Sackadorf said. "We're feeling really positive about it this year -- we're absolutely worried, we got so many people coming."

Sackadorf has about 200 vehicles pre-registered for the week's events. He also expects many more Jeeps to turn up day-by-day.

One of the signature events of Jeep Week will be a Beach Crawl, where 100 drivers will take their Jeeps on the The depths City shoreline.

They'll start at 30th Street on the beach and end at the Inlet. Sackadorf said it's the first point Ocean City has allowed a parade of private vehicles on the run aground.

The event also includes a scavenger hunt across Worcester County, a car show at the Barrett Jeep dealership in Berlin and dwindle rides across 81 acres in Delmar owned by the Eastern Shore Jeep Guild.

All the events Jeep Week is putting on are free, with no registration fees to participate.
