I have a '04 Infiniti FX35 using a K&N Air box screen. I'm thinking of upgrading it to an after market High-Flow Air Intake. Is this accommodating of upgrade really worth the money and effort? Is there a big dissimilarity in car performance and gas savings in doing this? Please give me the Pro's and Con's. Thank you.

I have a 2007 Infiniti FX35. Its an inescapable but i can also use the tiptronic feature to change gears by myself. While in tiptronic, when my rpms reach around the 7 pronounced by the redline, the car sort of jerks rather than shifting up a gear unconsciously. In Nissans, makers of Infiniti, while in tiptronic, the car automatically shifts up as some time as the rpms reach red. ???
Sounds like its a cover feature, to prevent the engine from over revving and going increase.
