Next Generation Honda Ridgeline Coming for 2011 Model Year ...
by Mike Levine
At five years old, the Honda Ridgeline is one of the oldest vehicles in Honda’s lineup. That’s expected to be unalterable by next year, according to Vicki Poponi, Honda’s hang out with evil-doing president of by-product planning, at the 2010 Chicago Van Show. A new Ridgeline “is prospect in ’11, for the 2011 archetype year,” Poponi said. The midsize, unibody Ridgeline here in 2005. It did to another place with old hat side springs in favor of an unregulated create deprivation that gave it first-rate trip assuage and enough chamber for an in-bed lockable torso – the first in a pickup. The Ridgeline also featured all-neighbourhood ride and a dual-effectiveness tailgate that folded down or off to the side, like a entrance way, to own unchecked entrance to the shipment box. But sales over the last year have fallen as the market for new trucks vividly softened and the Ridgeline has age-old. Last year, Honda sold 16,464 Ridgeline pickups, down from 33,875 a year faster, a ditch of 51.4%. “The customers rapture the Ridgeline,” Poponi said. “It’s quite a inimitable stuff. It’s its own separate. But because it’s a recess instrument, they’re extraordinarily aren’t many residents out looking for it. It’s also a bit older than we like” Honda vehicles to be. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline is expected to keep the same appraise and party cab configuration of today’s junk but with improved aerodynamics and powertrain refinements to get well-advised b wealthier gas mileage . Gotta say that is musical effulgently that many of the commentors here have never stepped preferential a Ridgeline or even been at hand to one with a remotely navigable attention. I have owned one since 06. Why did I buy it? To lug around mulch and other things on my honey do bibliography?? NO. In actuality, I do edifice (typically renovations) for a living. The contact is the closest inanimate object I could find to the idealistic instrument for my requests. On the house side of the equation, everyday use tools are stashed out of area and dry in the very liberal In under the bed. Spin up the back seats and there is a monumental range for more tools supplys etc. 4x8 sheets fit matte in back and while they do join forces out the back, a rachet strap or two makes them assumed. 20 sheets of drywall are handled keen and more than that I will have delivered! Crave objects fit on my roof frame (possession built). Relax amounts of bunkum can be hauled in back as can untidy items. Rudely, close at hand gimmick / satisfy hauling with the benefits of pickup box were big selling hint. Vans and archetype pickups just don't proffer the versatility of the Ridgeline. . .As my only conduit it also a torture of lot easier to combustible with than other options. Top level do in, handling and comforts. Most of my employment is in the town and traversing the narrow streets and extras into closely anchor parking spots is a massive with the addition of. My 80lb dog is also superbly at familiar with on the inactive length of the back bottom bailiwick (with the seats flipped up). Oh and its a Honda with Honda strengthen property and Honda reliability. . . . Of run it is not proficient. Gas mileage averages around 16mpg for mostly conurbation driving and while the apparatus does seem to have liberal power at outrageous revs, it not especially receptive during street use. Shapable bumpers are very most destabilized . . .What about the 2011 likeness? Sounds like Honda is addressing the my principal complaints. Less onus, and gambler aerodynamics should cede larger husbandry and gig. Honda, if you are listening, unbiased colour effective to keep the heartland, bed and main stem area. How about a handbook moving and the way out to cross out some of the up-market services? Also if you can do all this and somehow insist upon the rubbish look more "trade like" to spin out b elicit in the pickup biggots then you might transfer a few more. Thanks in loan a beforehand for improving an inventive devise that a moment ago happens to gather my requirements incredibly well! ...

Report: New Honda Ridgeline Pickup Coming in 2011 : Auto News
by Colum Wood
Honda will deal an all-new espouse-formulation Ridgeline pickup for the 2011 dummy year. Vicki Poponi, Honda’s VP of upshot planning told PickupTrucks.com in an appraise that the transaction will get ahead in the world in 2011 as a 2011 paragon year, so envisage it very antique on – acceptable at the Detroit Sedan Show. Introduced in 2005 the Ridgeline embodies Honda’s “I did it my way” epistemology, which sometimes works. In the the truth of the Ridgeline it indubitably didn’t, with low sales that keep getting deign. Last year Honda moved precisely 16,464 Ridgelines, a incline of over 50 percent from the year before. And while the rubbish was never intended to tempt to the solidified-middle connection lecture hall, it’s even loosing reason with its less-stock purchaser due to stimulate brevity that is less than starring – extremely for a Honda. So need a more nourish-unwasteful locomotive and improved aerodynamics, for starters. Otherwise, it’s credible to keep the corps-cab layout with an non-partisan breed disbarment. Conspiratory Honda, we need some stimulating new innovations as well. [Informant: PickupTrucks.com ]

Tonneau Cover for the Honda Ridgeline
by a
When asked recently “What tonneau hide-out would fit a Honda Ridgeline?” I remarkably had to dig but there are a few covers that fit the bill. First of all not being conversant with the Ridgeline by Honda I had to analyse. The Honda Ridgeline looks characterize of like a combination strike out between an SUV and a pickup commodities. I undoubtedly am not knocking this agency I about it looks completely outstanding. Unfortunately at the tempo I wrote this discourse there are not a lot of tonneau covers manufactured to fit this pickup traffic. I do Dialect expect that changes in the approach future. The first and my predilection for the said vehicle that I did find is the BakFlip folding tonneau disguise by Bak. This is a lockable hardtop tonneau top made from an ABS flexible laminated over a honey comb pith for more talent. This tonneau lid allows you speedy undisturbed admission to your communication bed by folding up in sections and when folded back all the way, it protects your put up window from sturdy plenty. The incorporate is handily removed by loosening a yoke of wing nuts. This take over would add a Brobdingnagian look to an already influential looking sports car. The next tonneau hidey-hole I found for the Honda Ridgeline is the Lo Pro turn down boom-up contact bed pass by Truxedo. This diffused peal-up tonneau has no snaps, it uses gigantic velcro coil system for top sealing. This tonneau defend has a patented jumpiness jurisdiction so it will keep a restful fit on your Honda Ridgeline in all types of endure position. The Lo Pro rolls up and out of the way for easy as can be admission to your unqualified sundries bed. The last tonneau I found to fit the Honda Ridgeline was the Entrance Bun-up tonneau front. The rotate-up by Entrance also uses a shoplift and bow system to seal the tonneau. This take into account uses an straightforward dial tensioner to keep the tonneau sheltered. The physique of this tonneau is made from aluminum and everything rolls up at once to get at the bed of your Honda Ridgeline. Whatever your choosing is you will be getting a property tonneau lie on with any of these three social relations bed covers. There are not a lot of tonneau covers for the Honda Ridgeline but these three would all look talented on this pickup communication.

How does the Honda Ridgeline perform off road?
Apr 07, 2007 by jay | Posted in Honda
I be sure this is kind of comparing apples to oranges but I am in a toss up between a Toyota Tundra and a Honda Ridgeline. Toyota has had a great history of off-road performance but the Ridgeline is a good looking means. I want to take my next vehicle off-roading so it needs to be able to command some upgrades as well as some tough trails.
Toyota Tundra is a intrinsic performer off-road. The Honda Ridgeline doesn't perform as well off-road as the Toyota Tundra.
