Teen killed in Des Moines shooting identified

DES MOINES -- The heat have identified a 19-year-old woman who was fatally attempt early Saturday morning in Des Moines.

Jayme Thomas of Des Moines was killed and another man was wounded after an contention escalated into a shooting.

Witnesses told investigators a word-for-word argument broke out between two separate groups in the 800 hunk of Redondo Way S. around 2:40 a.m. The argument escalated until two men started superficial around a gun and eventually opened fire into the victims' car.

Thomas, who was in the backseat of the car, and a 24-year-old man who was ongoing outside the car were taken to Harborview Medical Center where Thomas was later unambiguous dead. The man sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Regulate say it's not clear if Thomas was specifically targeted in the shooting.

"After the shooting, the organize that Jayme was associated with stayed behind and cooperate with investigators," said Sgt. Bob Bohl with Des Moines policemen. "The group that the suspects were associated actually fled in two independent vehicles."

Police are still looking for two cars in which the two gunmen were seen fleeing from the argument. The search is on for a black and chrome two-door Honda Civic made between 1990 and 1995. The instrument is said to have tinted windows, and a flat back.

Investigators are also looking for a primer-dark two-door Honda Civic with a large chrome muffler and tinted windows, also made between 1990 and 1995.

Bohl said both cars had specialized tire out rims that were very distinctive that someone might recognize.

Police say people who were there be familiar with who the shooter is, and they should speak up.

"Yes, we know there are people who know who the shooter is," Bohl said. "We have not had anyone blow in forward yet to tell us who that person is."

Anyone with information on the case or the vehicles' whereabouts are urged to call observe immediately.

Is their any way to run for it my 2001 honda civic go faster without having to buy parts?

take out the rider seats... and dont put anything in the trunk... This will think your car lighter... which makes it faster.

Will my little Honda Civic make it from the Midwest to Washington?

I have a 2000 Honda Civic and am planning a move from St Louis to Washington next month. I would like to justified take my car and some belongings, but I worry about the car making it through the mountains. Any thoughts?

it should make the grade b arrive it as long as its been looked after and has decent tyres.
if you are really on a tightrope about it do some checks on it like check the oil and water levels.
if you dont positive much about cars ask a mechanic to do the checks first before setting off.

I have a 89 honda civic and I bought a vtech apparatus that came from 94 civic. The 89 civic is 2 injectors and the 94 civic is 4 injectors. What do I have to buy, and how do i Invest it in order to convert it from 2 to 4 injectors?

I dont recollect hondas having 2 injectors or throttlebody injection. but I'll try to employment with the info you gave me. YOu will need the entire engine wiring harness and the computer to run the 4 injectors. have by step intructions are too complicated to put here. You could have picked an easier commitment like building a bridge to hawaii. I think you got in a little too chasmal
