i have a 2001 Ford Escape V6 3.0L and it has no Radiator cap????? i looked and then i put antifreeze in the nerve. Why does it have no cap????
Most cars that don't have a radiator cap have a pressurized cap on the overflow tank in lieu of. Many foreign cars have done this for years. One advantage is that you have less evaporation of the coolant.
Valid make sure the overflow tank is filled up to the "icy" line when the engine is cold, and don't open it when the machine is hot. If you suspect a problem, they can be pressure-checked just like a radiator cap, with the apt adapter.

Every important once in a while -- like once every couple of months or so, my '02 Ford Escape doesn't need to turn over. When it happens I have to hold the key on and let it crank for 30 seconds or so and then it will about over. One of my guesses is, it might be doing this after sitting in direct sun for several hours, but I'm not persuaded.
Is there anything that Escape's are notorious for, that might be causing this? Any speculations what it might be?
I know I should take it to a garage -- but since it happens so sporadically I disregard about it -- and more than likely the garage won't be able to duplicate the stew.

I have a 2001 Ford Escape. For some saneness while driving at high speed, the Side of my EGR Valve is blown out. Before that I had problems with fail, I replaced two spark plug solenoids and the six plenum gaskets. After that the car was perpetual weaken (without power). I replace the EGR valve, but the problems proceed with. I found that the tube going from the exhaust manifold to the EGR was extremely hot. What is occurrence?
