Ford Motor Co. not to blame in fatal crash, lawyer tells Sacramento jurors

Ford Motor Co.'s barrister hit back Tuesday with an argument that its van was safe, the dead driver was at foible in a fatal crash and it was Goodyear's responsibility to get a bad tire off the entr, not the automaker's. Attorney Warren E. Platt told jurors the car retinue spent $2 billion on the Bridgestone/Firestone cancellation on Ford Explorers in 2000 and had no reason to cover up anything in a smaller Goodyear replacement program when "we weren't active to spend a dime." Platt said that "Ford is a dang real company" and it was "ridiculous," "outrageous" and "over the top" that plaintiffs in the wrongful undoing trial in Sacramento Superior Court want millions in noneconomic damages and $185 million more in disciplinary damages. "Ford," Platt said, "should be spelled t-a-r-g-e-t." Judge David W. Abbott is expected to peruse his final instructions to the jury today. The panel will then be asked to fasten whether Ford was negligent in in its response to Goodyear's 2002 voluntary replacement program on a exhaust with a tread separation problem that at least partially caused the April 9, 2004, crash that killed two Light Oaks Presbyterian Church members. Plaintiffs' lawyers charged that Ford had been learned by Goodyear and the National Highway Transportation Safety Charge about the tire problem but did not tell its dealers or customers. Platt countered that the effect was Goodyear's and it was up to the tire and rubber company to track down the customers driving on the bad wheels. "Juncture administration" of replacement programs, Platt said, doesn't vocation and isn't practical. "You've got to track them by vehicle or you've got to track them by tires. You don't lose sight of them both." Platt decried plaintiffs' lawyer Roger A. Dreyer's case Monday that Ford feared "bad PR" from another recall campaign on the heels of the Firestone-Pioneer debacle. "Give me a break," Platt said, adding that Ford had done multiple replacement campaigns with other tires "before and after this specimen." Contrary to plaintiffs' arguments, Platt said there was nothing one of a kind in the design of the Ford E-350 Econoline van that contributed to the crash. He said any channel would have been difficult to handle under the same kind of tread-separating status that plagued the church van on Interstate 5 in Kern County on its way back from a kids group's concert tour. "It's not about the E-350," he said. "It's about not having tread on that to be fair rear tire."

Is it hard to change a computer on a 1990 Ford E-350 Box Truck?

I am looking at buying a 1990 Ford E-350 Box Dealings and it needs a computer changed before driving it. I was wondering if anyone knows how forcefully it is to change it? Where would it be located at? And how long would it take to change? Thank you in improve.
it,s presumably located behind the glove box. all you do is unhook the battery, take the computer down to where you can reach the harness, unplug it, shift it and plug the harness back in and hook the battery back up. that,s the way i did mine on my oldsmobile.

how often should I change the oil in a ford e-350 van?

I have a wares with a 2003 Ford E-350 van body. This truck is used always and is hauling a vehicle weight of about 10,000 lbs.
How often (both miles and months of use) should the oil be untouched in this vehicle?
would also depend on if it is in metropolis limits hauling or down the highway cause if it is a lot of stop and go then it is gonna belief more heat and friction on the oil and break it down aand burn it u much quicker.
if u are on road not a big deal cause u keep moving at a constant speed which is a hundred times outstrip on the parts of the van/truck.
just kinda go by rule of thumb modification it at 3k and see what it looks like if it is still good go a bit long if it looks bad then modulation it more often

I lack to know where the voltage regulator on a 1998 Ford E-350 box van is and how to investigation it.
As edselman says, it is almost unquestionably built into the alternator.
Take your truck to chain auto parts accumulation like Kragen. Most have electrical system checking equipment and will over your charging system free.
An alternate test is to check the battery-operated voltage of your truck with the engine off and compare it to the voltage when the apparatus is running. Off volts should be around 12.4 or so. Running should be over 13 perhaps looming 14. The difference in potential will indicate the system is at least trying to action. If you start with a battery voltage below 12 and have a running voltage of over 13, I would start suspecting the freestyle as the culprit. These voltages vary from car to car so don't write it off if it is a .1 of a volt off.
