How do you replace a FORD E-250 Van Fuel filter/hoses?

I cut the ammunition hoses on my 2001 Ford E-250 van to replace the filter and now stand in want to do it right because I've been told it's dangerous since they were pressurized. The dealer wants to liability $600 because they have to replace the whole fuel lines. is there a way around this?
Not in point of fact unless you can do the job your self The dealership is right the gas in the line is under on but not that much, However you need to clamp it tight if you drive it .
Replacing the ready should not be that hard , at lease order one and take a look at it if you see that you can't do the job take it to your local mechanic It won't sail as much,hope this helps.

How do you remove a 1997 Ford E-250 van fuel filter ?

I removed the shelter clips on each end but it still will not come off. I note that it has a ridge on each end. Is there a special appliance for this?
I concede with aaronh9. You need a special coupler type puppet to release the. They usually come in sets of five, if they are the inexpensive malleable type that you buy at most auto parts stores.
