The Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR drops at SEMA 2011

The American Blackjack Racer (ACR) trimline has been around for some time, making an appearance on the Dodge Viper a few times as well as the now-gone Dodge Neon SRT4 but this lightweight racer incorporate has not been seen on the Dodge Challenger – until now. Like the Viper SRT10 ACR, the Mopar-built Opponent SRT8 ACR is based on a standard production version with little done to the locomotive output but like the Viper and Neon ACR, the Challenger ACR is packed with modifications that pick up the handling and cut the curb weight. The Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR begins core, where the Mopar Underground team has removed a great understanding large of the standard Challenger SRT8 interior, with some components being replaced with spillway-ready components while others are gone altogether. The rear membership is gone with a chassis-stiffening rollover bar in its place and the comfy leather seats of the SRT8 are yanked in favor of a set of lightweight flexible Sparco race seats complete with safety harnesses. Next, the array door panels are removed and some gorgeous carbon thread inserts with protruding reinforcement bars adding a sparse contrasting color. Notice in the image of the inner entrance panel in the gallery on the right that the Challenger SRT8 ACR does hire the power locks, windows and mirrors so the car is not completely without the bodily comforts of the SRT lineup. Finally, the interior is capped off by adding the carbon wool center console from the Mopar Drag Pak Challenger with a Mopar pinched throw shifter allowing for smoother shifts. Next, the Mopar Insurrectionists team turned their attention to the exterior, where a carbon wool hood, trunk, rear spoiler and taillight ambience are added in place of the stock components. The parts of the Nemesis ACR that are not carbon fiber are finished predominantly in white with the roof and wheels being varnished in a charcoal tone – giving the car a similar look to that seen on the unique Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR models. This ACR package is finished with an offset red stripe direction the length of the car with more red on the mirror caps and on the high performance slacken calipers while the familiar ACR badge is found on the front fenders. While the engine and transmitting of the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR remain relatively unchanged, this track-built looker includes a Mopar cold air intake package and catback deplete system although no increase in power is stated. Next, Mopar has added a full coilover debarring system and a front strut tower brace from their performance parts compartmentalize while a set of Goodyear F1 Supercar performance tires help to deliver the most of the 470 horsepower and 470lb-ft of torque produced by the 392 cubic inch Hemi.

Dodge Viper?

I have a 2006 Dodge Viper and went to a state Dodge dealer to make an appointment for my first oil change. I bought the Viper at another dealership 200 miles somewhere else. The service manager said they couldn't do the oil change because they don't have any Viper-trained technicians. What is so unusual or different about changing the oil in a Dodge Viper?
I should have said that's it's not a free oil change.
I am a recently retired Dodge affairs. In order to do any service on a Viper, the dealer must have Viper certified technicians. If not, they cannot profession on the vehicle. First of all, many dealers may not even have a lift that goes low enough to lift the car. If the conveyance is put on the wrong type of lift, it can damage the frame.
If you had the conveyance worked on by a dealer that was not certified, it could void your warranty. I skilled in it doesn't sound right or fair, but that's the way it is.

where can i find a dodge viper thats in good condition and cheap?

I would like a totally recent dodge viper in good condition for a fairly cheap appraisal. I know, vipers arent cheap but it would be my greatest mirage to have one. And I'm sure my dad would love to drive around in it too. So any ideas?

How could a Dodge Viper accelerate from 0-60 MPH quicker than a Mercedes S65 AMG when it has less torque?

The Dodge Viper has about 500 pounds of torque when the Mercedes S65 AMG has over 700. Yet, the Viper accelerates from 0-60 in perfectly over 3 seconds while the S65 accelerates from 0-60 MPG in 4.2 seconds. Why is this?
There are so many variables here.... where to found.
The s65 is heavier and is geared differently. There are horsepower and torque curves to consideras well. Bottom in accord, priority was not on trap speed (0-60) for this car, at least not as much as for the Viper.
The Viper and the Corvette z06 hae been in a prime to head battle for trap speed for years, it is a BIG Immediacy for Viper. It is practically the ONLY thing it does well.
The s65 is in a class by itself ( I suspect you positive this). MB is not concerned about losing a sale to Dodge over trap rapidity!
