SUNRISE: Man who attempted to lure child into vehicle sought

The El Paso County Sheriff's Workplace is asking for help in identifying a suspect who allegedly attempted to siren song a child into his vehicle about 7:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18., within easy reach the Widefield Community Center.

According to the sheriff's bit, the suspect approached the victim in a newer Dodge or Chevrolet extended cab pickup communication. The bed of the truck was loaded with a stack of white chairs secured with a restraint.

The suspect exited the truck, approached the victim, and asked if she had seen his dog, which the have suspicions about said was a miniature dachshund. When the victim said she had not seen the dog, the fancy asked if she would come with him, said the sheriff's office. The surmise followed the victim as she began to run, leaving the suspect when she reached the Widefield Consequential school football field.

The suspect is described as a bloodless male, 60 to 65 years old and fairly incredible. He was described at the time as wearing white sneakers, pants, a polo shirt and a blue baseball cap with yellow longhand.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 390-5555.

Highway 67 reopening between Florence, Wetmore

FLORENCE — Colorado Street 67 between Florence and Wetmore is set to reopen Friday, the Associated Compress reports.

That stretch of the highway closed to traffic July 31 after compact rain damaged a wooden bridge five miles north of Wetmore. The cross over sank about five feet below the surface of the road.

The Colorado Department of Transportation has built a two-minor road paved detour around the bridge that should be ready for traffic Friday.

CDOT long run plans to build a new bridge.

About 1,300 vehicles a day use the apportion of the highway that is reopening.

i accepted ly own a 97 extended cab stepside sonoma with a zq8 sports suspension i like the handling and the power, but need more room inside. im thinking about the colorado extreme with the 3.7 but im unsure about the handeling and get up and go of a inline 5

my beau had a 2004 colorado extreme with the i5 it was pretty nice..came with 18inch rims lowered...it wasnt the quickest merchandise nothing compared 2 my cobra lol but lets say i had some pep to it..didnt handle 2 bad either...only fashion i wasnt crazy about was the interior..was really cheap had receptive everywhere..and the ride was rough but thats expected for pickups..its a careful truck to have...great cruiser
