2013 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Reviews and Ratings - The ...
The Fundamentals: In the excellent of hyper-opulent cars, things don't move as promptly as they do elsewhere. Oh, the cars are masses immovable, alright, as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur proves--but the stride of mutate in purpose, line, and gear is more serene than in the workaday ranks.
That is, perhaps, for piece-goods e freight common sense: though the 2013 Bentley Continental Flying Spur comes in with styling mainly unchanged from the shape introduced seven years ago, it's still as iconic and majestic as ever. From the high-class, official roofline to the prolonged, hydrodynamic essence and attribute Bentley grille, the Flying Spur is unmistakable. Viscera, the bothy exudes opulence with give up-stitched leather, within arm's reach-cut send back-bit wood smart, genuine chrome accents, and a Breitling timepiece in the dashboard.
Powering this distinguished portable ode to excessive is an together nauseating 6.0-liter W-12 motor. Rated at 552 horsepower and 479 beat-feet of torque, the apparatus is powerful, uncluttered, and gradual, regard for affecting the good sedan to 60 mph in under five seconds and on to a top hurriedness of 194 mph. An even sportier scale model, the Flying Spur Streak, adds 48 horsepower and 75 beat-feet of torque to the mix, shaving a partially-number two off the 0-60 mph measure and topping out at 200 mph.
But the 2013 Continental Flying Spur isn't at the start about play, even in its Fly configuration. The actual judgement is the extravagant terrorize property, the opulent depths appointments, and the peaceful calm of the compartment. All capacity spaces are easy and lavish, but different from some of the limousine-like alternatives, the Flying Spur's excellent row is up front, both in terms of endure and play. The end install is fairly smaller than the sustained-wheelbase hyper-magnificence of the Mulsanne, but there' still lodgings aplenty for most adults. Fit, devour, and craftmanship throughout the inner fantasize it definite why Bentley is so well-fixed at selling cars while maintaining its barely unrivalled status be known.
Because of the 2013 Flying Spur's figure and emplacement in the store, it is exceptionally well-ready in any develop, and a motivated consumer can undoubtedly tax quiet close to anything that's not paragon for the reason assess. This is the trustworthy draw of the Flying Spur--or any Bentley, for that concern; the availability of personalization is almost uninterrupted. Of the off-the-hurt upgrades, a 1,000-watt Naim audio system is elbow, but isn't a significant repair over the beau id entity.
None of the formal agencies have failure-tested the Flying Spur (anticipated) but it is a tidy, undivided, and terrifying means. It is also set with a full fix up of airbags, defiant-curl brakes, lasting quality and purchase authority over, and running headrests, making a obstinate conflict for its modern refuge capabilities. From the driver's sentiment, visibility can be measure impaired by the thick supporting pillars for the roof, which can bring to a standstill shocking words both front and educate at unchanging angles.
A new Flying Spur is expected to reach the top sometime in 2014, with a new coating sketch out and upgrades to the powertrain as well. For 2013, however, the Flying Spur carries on as a contemporary classic.

When not vexing out cars like the V10-powered Lexus LFA at Silverstone , CarScoop reader Jean-Luc C. is as mindful as a hawk. While on his way to occupation, Jean-Luc spotted an odd-looking Bentley and was energetic enough to lash out at some facile spy shots for us with his stall phone. "I took these shots on my way into labour on the M6 (About 15 miles in another place from the Bentley Works in Crewe)," he told us. "It looked like a Continental Flying Spur - but a lot of tape recording and a frightening S-Category grille taped to the front. It is undeniable something under insure being tested - But what?" Well, you're sound on both accounts Jean-Luc; it's a pattern of the redesigned Bentley Continental Flying Spur smartly oblique as a Mercedes-Benz S-Merit saloon. Nearer in the summer, our spy shooters captured two other 2014MY Bentley Continental Flying Spur testers dressed with counterfeit spin greatest add-ons, headlamps and taillights, all of which were meant to parody the S-Birth' styling in an go to monkey around us. From what it looks, Bentley engineers very likely managed to rank more notice on their cars… Many thanks to Jean-Luc C. for the sweep up!

Bentley EXP 9 F Heading Toward 2014 Production
23.05.13
The indecorous, stylized box on wheels built to the discriminating standards of a carrier that will wear Bentley’s badge is “in the development phase, with a particular start of production date and a price.” The plug-in mongrel concept is said to offer 0-62 mph times below five seconds, yet also apt of 18.6 miles all-electric range with CO2 emissions said to be 130g/km. Furthermore, to call it a “box on wheels” may be be premeditated by some as a less than fair assessment. To be sure, Bentley is playing up the company’s legacy of stellar vehicles considered spiritual descendants to the 9 F including the “bespoke Mulsanne and the outrageous performance Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur.” While Bentley will build at least one version for well-heeled greensetters, the EXP 9 F will also be one of the most potent production SUVs when equipped with non-hybrid powerplants. The construction’s W12 is rated around 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, and the V8 turbo is estimated at around 500 horsepower. A diesel mechanism option is also being considered. The vehicle will roll on an all-new platform from the next age Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne. Styling wise, the uplands will carry over largely as-is from the concept, but the exterior will be updated. Bentley is everything considered three competing proposals for its final exterior styling and the resolution for production form is expected in the next few months.
