The S8 is a sportier variant of the A8. They are essentially the same car it's just the S8 will have a few subtle cosmetic differences i.e. bigger wheels, sterling wing mirrors etc. it will however have a much more powerful engine. It will also be a little bit more "driver focussed", so it will have preferably suspension and will handle better.

The S8 is a better car than the A8, however it really depends what you dearth. the A8 is a perfectly good car on it's own. It's luxurious, safe etc, but if you want all that extra some performance then you would go for the S8.

what is the best way to make my Audi A8 look new again?

I have an Audi A8 2002 and I was about to convinced it, but I love my car and I think I can keep it for many more years. Is there a way I can "modernize" it? Who sells kits to exhort it look a newer model?

I about you made a good decision, that is a very fine car and you can keep it for a long time and it will spend you well.
As for the people who make it look new again, look up the people from Hofele in Germany. They fashion new spoilers to make the Audis look like the new rule. I think they look very good. They have representatives in Canada so you don't have to fly over.

Is the Audi A8 a good car that will last a long time?

I am in view of a BMW 750il as my first choice but now after yahoo answers I made arrangements to look at a Lexus LS460 and a Cadillac Escalade this week but someone also said Audi A8. Will it last a lengthy time? Thats my main question. I know its a big car but should I assign some time looking at i and test drinvg it?


Unfortunately Audi, as all European manufacturers, have had many brand-new reliability problems stemming mostly from electrical matters.

It performs distinguished in winter driving and is sporty in the summer. In theory a loving terrible car. However, it has many downsides. The first being resale value which is well below average- 43% bereavement in the first year. It is horrible on gas mileage as well- 14city/19thoroughfare. It is very expensive to own and maintain. Insurance is also very high as parts fetch above average. And reliability-who wants to see their new car in the repair shop more than in their driveway? Study the consumer reviews, especially long term reviews. The logs are infested with horror stories just in time for Halloween.

I would try out drive it just so that later when you buy something else you will not wonder what it was like to approach that model.
