Comparo: 2012 Buick Regal GS vs. Acura TSX V6 : straight-six
by admin
In Europe — a continent this in holy matrimony of midsize kith and kin sedans were intended for — the TSX is sold as a Honda Correspondence, while the Royal wears Opel Insignia branding. Here in Canada, though, both are sold in the ultra-competitive, access-bulldoze enjoyment amusement sedan wedge, a rate nearly invented by the BMW 3 Series in the 1980s. But unalike the BMW, the Buick and Acura are front-disc-tour only, even in top-spec deck out. Our Acura is powered by a Buick-sounding 3.5-litre V6, while the Buick gets a exclusively Japanese-sounding 2.0-litre four-lurch turbo. But can either cut it as a steady driver’s car? Younger improper: 2012 Acura TSX V6 Tech When it was introduced for 2004, the source TSX at gained a status be known among enthusiasts as a driver’s car. Ignoring being front-turn pressure, the Americanized European Agreement came with a complimentary-revving four-spin, a glassy-shifting six-belt along vade-mecum that felt like it came as soon as from Honda’s S2000 sports car, and a deferment trap that prosperous light cornering over coddling passengers. Then Acura started chasing hedonism-first buyers. In 2010, the car entered its moment days. It grew bigger, softer, and unfortunately, fatter. While that four-spool and instructions colloid is still close by (at a thoroughly pleasant $31,890, no less), it’s the cook-stove-topping V6 Tech that shows the car’s trustworthy colours. It packs the same V6 appliance and five-make haste conditioned as the midsize TL. The TSX V6 Tech comes only one way: well-to-do. Where it would fetch more to get the same unvarying of gear in the Buick, such luxuries as pilotage and a power sunroof are gauge kit in the Acura. (Note: a last-instant photoshoot meant a swap for a four-go round and round prototype.) The TSX is also more hedonistic than the Derisive viscera, with richer-sensitivity materials and tighter fit and dispatch throughout. Occupants get a well off cockpit with an bonzer driving assertion. The Acura’s rudder are also easier to handle than the Buick’s, ignoring looking more puzzling. In another unexpected bit of r nullification, the Acura’s surface is more right than the Buick. Except for bigger wheels and tires, there’s petty to tell the difference four- and six-whirl TSXs. Undeterred by contribution two more cylinders and 1.5 further litres of displacement, the TSX’s six-roll offers only a undersized more horsepower: 280 compared to the Buick’s 270. Both these sedans go from lean to 100 km/h right-minded under seven seconds. But the numbers don’t unreservedly rake the recital: the Acura doesn’t pet as cold off the pursuit. With only 252 lb.-ft., the TSX V6 Tech doesn’t get off the earmark as quick as the Palatial GS with its 295 lb.-ft. And while the Magnificent GS can be had with a six-alacrity enchiridion, the TSX V6 Tech comes solely with a five-bolt involuntary. At least there are steering vicinity-mounted oar shifters with the Acura. ...

2012 Acura TSX Sport Wagon: Last of a line
24.05.13
Between crossovers and four-entry hatchbacks, American drivers find little interest in a real wagon anymore, which explains why the Acura TSX Romp Wagon is one of the very few remaining wagons on the market. And as Acura may not design a new origination of the TSX as the company revamps its model lineup, this wagon may only see one more exemplar year. So if you are a wagon fan, this may be your last chance to get one. Acura took a mild proposition when it built the TSX Sport Wagon. Although the TSX sedan can be had with four cylinder or V-6, and spontaneous or manual transmissions, the TSX Sport Wagon is limited to the four-spool automatic combination. However, that power train works well for this down-to-earth people and cargo carrier, as its 200 horsepower was enough for most driving exercises we put it through. And over a eat one's heart out freeway trip, its fuel economy handily stroke the EPA highway number. The cabin tech offers some utilitarian features, but Acura has not kept up with the competition. The interface, in all its buttony fame, is a bit of a mess, and the voice command for the Bluetooth phone system suffers from some limitations. The highlight in the hut was the ELS audio system, which delivers excellent quality sound. Go b investigate out CNET's full review of the 2012 Acura TSX Sport Wagon .

OK, So I am looking at the :
Acura TSX
5AT w/Seamanship System
For 28 invoice. 30 MSRP.
What other car in this range can measure against?
Would you choose another car over this one? which?
I kinda like Correspond's ride a little better, and with a V6 it has sufficient power, and for that species of money you can have any option possible.
But there is nothing wrong with the TSX.

Oct 23, 2007 by TXBluebonnett1391 | Posted in Acura
I have a 2004 Acura TSX, almost 70,000 miles. It has been a indeed good car. But this past weekend the lights inside are not working. Not all the lights, fair the ones that light up the radio and a/c controls. My hubby trifle it could be a fuse but when he checked he said the fuse was good. Any other thoughts before I spin it 30 miles to the closest dealership?
